What an interesting day it has been. I was getting ready to go to a baby shower this afternoon, and wanted to do lunch before going into the cake, wine, chips and dip, fried chicken, you-name-it den of fat and carbs. I was about to make a yellowfin tuna steak with peanut sauce which I enjoyed so much last Monday. I looked at the label and realized that the sauce nutrition was listed in an obscure way, and the sauce actually did contain some sugar, which I missed earlier.
Well I panicked a little, made myself a lean burger and grilled veggies, then thought about the fact that I lost 3 pounds anyway, and Monday was Day ONE, so I can't have done TOO much harm. Possibly I could have lost more weight had I not had the sauce...but still it has been a good losing week!
So I went to the shower, munched on veggies and low-fat cheese and drank diet vanilla pepsi, came home and had a healthy dinner, then went out and bought my food for week two.
I guess the point here is that even though I made a mistake, I didn't know it when I was making it, and it did not snowball into total failure, and I am still on the beach!
YIPPEE!
Starting DAY SEVEN tomorrow!
BTW, I decided to keep my new clothes and be comfortable in them. If I get too small for them, I can always have them altered. I deserve new clothes. I am wearing a pair of the pants right now, and I love them.
Hang in there Beach Gang.
This diet rocks!
Kimmierae

but I am OK about it. I learned!
I tend to want to jump on the scales too soon too.
I'm trying to go by the scales at work which are in a medical lab and are like a doctor's scales. I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow.
I'm trying not to focus on the Speed of the weight loss but on the long-term health goal, but that is HARD isn't it?
Hang in there, youare almost through phase I.
