No loss in P1-Wk2? Common?

Hi everyone,
Was just reading some posts and noticed a common problem. I lost 4 pounds the first week - and nothing the second week of Phase 1. I am concerned about going on to P2 tomorrow and adding some carbs, while I have been soooo strict on P1 and lost nothing this week. Getting discouraged! DH started last Saturday and already down about 9 lbs. I know men lose faster, but we are eating the same thing! Urghhhh!

I have about 60-70 lbs I want to lose total. The first week I lost 7-8 lbs and the 2nd week 3-4 lbs. Big difference and that was probably due to all the water being drained out :)!!!!!
I would not be discouraged starting Phase 2 tomorrow. If you remember the basic premise of Phase 1 is to stop the metabolic cycle happening in your body when you eat "bad" carbs and Phase 2 is really the plan for eating for the long haul --- your body is supposed to have adjusted to the new way of utilizing your nutrients.
Just a thought.
