Newbie - Fit but need to lose a few lbs

I work out a lot, cardio and weights, but have not seen results in years. I suspect my extra flab is due to my sweet/carb tooth, and is the very reason I decided to start the SBD today! I have a few questions...
I want to lose between 8-10 pounds, and my current weight is at the mid range of acceptable for my height. Can I expect to lose weight during P1? Has anyone else had success in my position?

I have always exercised, but I never lose weight from exercising. I also needed to lose about 10 to 12 pounds. I just finished 2 weeks on Phase 1. I lost 5 pounds in those 2 weeks. That is excellent for me. On all other diets, I usually only lose about 1 pound a week. After only 2 weeks, I'm halfway there. Also, after the first few days, I really felt great. I have no more cravings and have to remind myself that it's meal time. Good Luck!
