Breakfast help?

I am used to eating fruit and oatmeal for breakfast. I don't like eggs. Help! I'm on day 5 and I've only been drinking V-8 for breakfast or maybe a little cottage cheese.

Ideas please!

Hi, I know how you feel about those eggs. Yuck! Sometimes I just roll up some turkey breast & cheese. If you add sugar free fruit preserves to your cottage cheese it seems like a treat. How about turkey bacon? Sometimes I fry two slices of canadian bacon and stick a piece of low-fat swiss or cheddar in the middle. Kind of like a grilled cheese. I hope these ideas help. Thanks for the ideas. Can I have celery and laughing cow cheese for breakfast instead of a snack? Can I have 2 wedges since it's breakfast?

Thanks!

Hi, Celery and laughing cow cheese are a great breakfast. Each triangle is only about 50 calories (I think), so go ahead and have 2. Enjoy! Cathy

Why not just have a mini lunch/supper? I often eat supper leftovers. I know it's weird eating broiled chicken and green beans for breakfast but no more weird then the cold pizza we ate in collage.

Jo...sipping orange spice tea and enjoying the quiet until everyone gets home.

Hi -

If you are a sweet eater like my Hubby - try the French Toast Sans the Toast recipe. You can find it in the recipe section of this board. If you can not find it let me know and I will post it for you.

It is really yummy - it does have eggs in it , but also ricotta cheese, splenda, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. You can top it with sugar-free maple syrup. We just love this and it helped us get through phase 1 because we are not really egg eaters either.

Sandy

P.S. you can also try a slice of canadian bacon topped with a slice of tomatoe and cheese - pop under the broiler till cheese melts - yummy too!

Thank you for all the ideas. I live in a rural area so I will go to town tomorrow and see if I can get the cheese. I like the leftovers idea and the French toast. I will try them both. Thursday will be day 7 for me so I need to get out of this rut. Good luck to all of you and Thanks again!
