basically doing Atkins for 2 weeks then just cutting out sugars, breads, potatoes and pastas and adding vegetables and fruit when Atkins doesn't allow them. AND...if you have to have breads, pastas, sugars, etc. then you can but, just go back to Phase 2?

First 2 weeks you can still eat as many of the allowable vegetables as you want there is no limit.
You can have beans, you are not supposed to eat high fat meats, you are supposed to eat lower fat meats like chicken without the skin, lower fat cuts of beef and pork, etc.
You are not supposed to eat huge quantities of fat such as butter, mayonnaise, cream, etc. but eat the lower fat choices such as lite canola oil mayo, olive oil. You should eat the lighter cheeses --- not full fat.
Phase 2 you add back whole grains and fruits slowly ---
So there are differences.
