What are your weekend plans?

I have midnight madness at the fair tonight with the teenager I counsel and tutor. Oh boy. 11p to 6a. WONDERFUL! lol. Think I might go shopping this weekend too.

I might make a spicy chicken soup and the pumpkin pudding in the recipie section. Other than that, nothing else planned!

Now that the Red Sox are headed for the golf course, I think I'm dragging DH out to apple country in the deep suburbs northwest of Boston Saturday, or to Cape Cod for a nice visit to a couple of our favorite towns down there. I'm dying for apple cider - but that sugar content! Maybe I can work the "3-tastes" rule on the cider like I did on a dessert of pumpkin creme brulee last week....

Have a fun one!

This weekend is OSU's homecoming so I'll be doing all the fun stuff that comes with that...walk-around, parade, game, etc. Then on sunday, I'll be going to Oktoberfest. I'm really looking forward to that, It'll be lots of fun! I'll have to resist the goodies there though :-( I guess that's about it for this weekend...lots of temptations, I'll need major willpower!

I am going to rake, fertilize and re-seed my new lawn,

get a psychic reading,

go to a wine-tasting,

take the dog for walks in the autumn woods,

go to church,

and call my daughter at college.

I'm also going to try some new recipes!

Busy, busy, busy, for me. I have to finish writing a paper, study for mid-term exams next week, and on Sunday, my extended family is celebrating my grandmother's 95th birthday!! We're having a huge party with a buffet at an Italian restaurant. This will be a challenge. But I'm thinking of indulging a bit. In the 7 weeks I've been doing SB, I've only eaten "off-plan" one meal. Other than that, I've really stuck with it... maybe here and there having a bit more than 75 cals. of SF chocolate, some full-fat cheese on a salad at a restaurant, just little stuff. I'm due. LOL. I'm going to have some eggplant, and a little pasta. I'll skip the cake, because I really don't miss the super sweet stuff anymore.

But I can't wait to show off a little. I've lost 22 pounds so far on SB, but I'm nearly 40 pounds lighter than the I was the last time many of my relatives saw me. I'm so vain, LOL. But I guess it's OK to feel a little proud of myself. :-)

Have a great weekend, all.
