Hi all...I am in desperate need of losing 20 lbs...and would like to do it before the holidays are here...you know how all of the sudden you look in the mirror and can't beleive what you see???thats how I feel... I don't know how I got this way just that I want to change...how does everybody feel about this diet?...I have to feed a hungry man at night when I am doing this...is it possible to make meals that he will enjoy as well???...any tips or websites I can go on to help with the diet??...is the general idea no carbs???

HI, I am on day 12 of phase 1. So far this is going great - I have found it very easy to follow and stay on track. I have lost about 12 pounds in these 12 days. For cooking for my DH, I have been making grilled/baked meat and fish, then veggies I can eat, some carrots or corn for him and then a roll or cornbread for him as well. I have no time to cook multiple meals and my dh does not need to diet. So I make a meal I can eat and then add some carbs or other things for him- I make just enough of those things for him so I'm not tempted.

The diet is low carb and low fat. so you are getting carbs in veggies, but for the first 2 weeks no bread, pasta, fruit, rice, crackers ect..
