I was looking in the bread isle... man! There are all kinds of choices! What is a good bread for a phase 2 person who is not looking for a low carb bread, but something that is great to eat! I saw the Arnold's grainy bread, the Orowheat breads, the Pepperidge Farm varieties. HELP!

Do you have that Ezekiel (what's the verse, gals?) bread in your store? They have a lot of different varieties, and all those I've tried are really quite good.

Hi, Ria - I'm using Arnold HealthNut bread. Tastes great - not like sawdust. Even DH has been raiding my stash!

I'm not ready to deal with sandwiches, so I generally have it toasted with Smart Balance, cinammon and a dash of splenda.

Just a reminder of what to look for in bread. Remember to check the ingredient list. Many commercial brands have hydrogenated oil. Steer clear! The higher the fiber content the better and some even have sugars. So, I guess a high fiber content and 0 sugars is best. Cathy

An excellent healthy bread found in the refrigerated section of health food stores is called Manna or Essene bread. It has live sprouts in it, no sugar, no salt, etc. I learned about it in the book Alkalize or Die. It looks like a brick, but it was actually pretty good. The
