Would it work for me?

I already do not eat alot of sweets, drink no fat milk, eat chicken breasts and tuna, no pasta, no breads, no cereals, no potatoes, no rice, no sodas, maybe one cup coffee day with fatfree creamer and sweetener. I'm 5'6", 165 and would like to lose 15 to 20 lbs, 44 yo with 2 kids. Is there anyone out there who has similiar traits and been successful on this diet? Any encouraging news before I go out and buy THIS book? Thanks! Pam

Welcome to the board, Pam!

I think that this is an excellent way of eating, and you do incorporate some of the principles already. My take on it is that while there are probably many ways in which you are similarly to the plan, but there might be some significant differences. You might try looking at the food lists posted on hippodamia.com, for starters. I think that reading the book is valuable insight into the plan. Is it available at your local library or through an interlibrary loan?
