day5 phase 1, gaining weight???!!!

I'm gaining weight!!!!

i dont want to give up though!!

i think i've been eating too many legumes.. and mine are canned which isn't low on the glycemic index (in the book).

I'm gonna cut them. and limit to half a can a day till the two can's i've opened are finished and then i'll buy the dry ones and cook them and eat NORMAL portions of them i guess... I hope i'll lose weight by doing that.

guys i'm so scared to fail on this diet :(

before day one i ate a lot and gained like 3 lbs in a couple of days

so on day1 i was 146, on day 2 and 3 i was 144.5 and i didn't weigh on day 4.

and now i'm 145!!! so i don't want to gain! (and no, it's not pms time)

in phase one, what are things that should be limited??

i know nuts are, and that veggie juice is too

but what about tomatoes? (sauce, fresh, etc) and other things?

won't quit,

wokring with the diet,

Okay, first of all DON'T PANIC...second of all stop weighing yourself everyday. You'll make yourself crazy. Your weight can fluctuate within a couple of pounds on any given day depending on water retention due to an excess of salt. You're still down a pound and only up a half a pound from the day before. if you don't have much to lose, you'll lose slower than someone with more to lose. Stress affects loss too so you are as stressed as you sound, you'll stall.

Hey, thanks for the support!

I guess I'm gonna just get a grip and stick with this.

They say what makes or breaks a WOE is if u stick with it or not.

I'm just gonna do some portion control and i'll go to the gym tonight, which is destresser.

I think i am stressed out.

so far today i had 2 eggs for breakfast with a 100% meat sausage (cooked in a bit of canola oil)

a wedge of laughin cow cheese

for lunch had a mcdonald`s caesar salad, no croutons, 1 dressing pouch (was low fat tho.. but since the whole thing was ok size-wise it`ll be fine i think)

1 diet coke (limitting caffeine to 1 a day, either diet cola or coffee)

i guess dinner`s 2 skinless chicken thighs cooked in a bit of olive oil with some peppers and some mashed cauliflower and half can of beans.

dessert: ricotta creme + 2 no sugar added creamcicles (20calories each, they`re tiny)

snack: piece of cheese

sounds ok?

You are on phase 1 right??? hmmmm... Have you tried using turkey sausage or lean bacon in the mic instead of frying sausage? I don't know for sure, but I don't know if Thighs are recommended for phase 1. I just check hippodamia, and the only chicken looks like breasts. Try this website http://www.hippodamia.com/sbd/groceries/phase1.aspx. THese are all legal foods. Just hang in there! O yeah. Don't be afraid of beans either. eat! YUM! Take care!
