Need help from Atkins to SBD

Hello, I had been following Atkins for about 2 weeks and had a real hard time with it, staying under the 20 grams of carbs,I was able to use 1/2&1/2 for my coffee and to whip heavy cream add spenda for a sweet treat, as I understand I can`t do that on this woe of eating, could someone help me what else is different? Thank You

Some of the other differences are that you do not count carbs --- during phase 1, you eat mainly low glycemic vegetables as much as you want (except tomatoes), you can have beans such as chickpeas, kidney, etc. You do not use full fat cheese/dressings --- you try for the lower fat, however, with dressings, you also watch the sugar. You don't eat high fat meats, the skin on chicken, etc. You can have 2 slices of turkey bacon/day if you want.
You can also eat more in the way of nuts
Those are some of the more noticeable differences.
Hope this helps
Ellen
Also, once you get to phase II, you can add fruits, high-fiber cereal, and a few whole grain carbs. For me, this is more than worth giving up some of the saturated fats. Also, you get to have red wine in phase II.
I find it is closer to a "moderate, balanced diet" than Atkins.
For me, it is better...though not for everyone.
Just my opinion.

Actually, we do get to use half & half.

"I have been really curious about this too, and have toyed with switching. I really like Atkins, have been successful, but my Hubby just worries about the fat. However, my sticking point is that it seems like you get the worst of both worlds in some ways...Low fat and Low carb. Yikes...it scares me a bit. I like butter, I like my heavy cream in my coffee, I like my cream cheese/splenda mix...Anyways I am just not sure if SBD will satisfy me as much with so much less fat...Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated."
Don't let it scare you.

I'm still digging for the best advice myself.
