Hi South Beachers!

I'm ready to start another week. I just got back from Parents' Weekend at Bowling Green University, where my daughter is a freshman. It was a good weekend, and not really too much of a challenge for the SBD. I might have had a little too much whole-wheat bread, but that is nothing I am going to worry about. I am totally back at the beach with veggies and meat for dinner and no cravings going on.

I went grocery shopping and got the ingredients for the pumpkin pudding, which I plan to try this week.

I am reading the Dana Carpender book and enjoying it--learning some things too.

I feel like I can settle into this way of eating and not feel deprived, which is wonderful.

It gives me hope for the long haul.

Have a great week everyone!

Hi, I have been on SBD since 9/8 and have lost almost 20 # (Yea !!!!). I have one of the Dana Carpendar books (500 recipes), some of them have been hits at my house, but this weekend I tried the pumpkin cheesecake and substituted in the fat free cream cheese and sour cream. It was not very good, had a tangy taste, I don't know if it would have been better the Atkins way with full fat stuff, but I don't recommend it.

Hi there! I have been on SBD since 9/8 as well! I have lost about 17 lbs, and I am in the middle of half marathon training. Yesterday was 7 miles, and today is a light day at the gym. YIPPIE!

I've been doing very well with my eating, and I have a couple of WOO HOO items now and again. I'm still losing about a pound a week. I have 2 pounds until my first goal, and 7 until my second goal.

Keep on eating ladies! Spaghetti Squash rocks!

Welcome back from you along weekend. I hope it wasn't too diffcult to say goodbye to your daughter.I remember when I had to.As far as the diet is concerned you did good having whole wheat instead white bread.I can't believe the craving of sweets are gone so Halloween would be a problem this year. Hope every one will feel the same way.Hugs Maryann
