Don't get too discouraged! My husband only lost 2 pounds the first weeks in phase one and he even ran over 12 miles that week. He didn't give up though and is now in week 5. He's now lost 7 pounds. The weight is coming off slowly but surely. Just be patient and you'll start seeing results before you know it.

I don't know if this applies to you or not, but I have been told that sometimes if a person is only trying to lose 10 to 15 pounds as opposed to a lot, then it comes off a little slower. Something to do with your body already being close to the normal bodyweight it should be at.....I don't know if this is true....but I guess I will soon find out. I'm wanting to lose about 10 to 15, and I hope to get the book this weekend.....I'm a procrastinator.....and the sad thing is that I don't eat a lot as it is...I think I just eat the wrong things, and I also don't drink a lot of water...and I KNOW that WATER is very important when dieting...so you might want to up your water intake....see if that works! Hang in there.....you'll be losing more and more before you know it...and this is the healthy way...lose it slow...chances of it staying off are much better!

same happened to me so I had to stay on P1 an extra 2 weeks. It iwas tough but once that 1st month was over though, I dropped 5 the next wk (wk 5). I am now into my 5th month and I am down a total of 14 lbs. I only wanted to lose 20 so its working. I also haven't exercised at all since I have a 3 & 5 y/o and have no real extra time. The biggest thing I have noticed though is the loss of inches EVERYWHERE.....so stick with it!! It will happen for you. I know at least 10 people on the diet and every one of them has a different story of how it has worked for them but EVERY ONE has lost weight and inches. After 1 1/2 yrs trying to lose weight with all of the good diets, this is the one that has worked the best....for everyone I know. Good Luck!!

Oh, Kayz, don't get too discouraged! I agree with Marcia 1971: It may just be that your body is reacting to your being very close to your ideal weight? Do keep in mind that this WOE (Way Of Eating) is not only great way to lose weight, but also a very healthy way to reduce your risk of many of today's "common diseases". Perhaps you will decide to stay on P1 for another week? Perhaps you can safely move into P2 with just a few desired foods, but mainly keep to P1? Whatever you do, DON'T GIVE UP and let us know how you are doing!!!
