Food Amounts?

I understand the different phases and allowable foods, since I read through the South Beach Diet book a few months ago (I have to check it out from the library again since I have not purchased it). I was wondering what the typical serving sizes are? I know in Diets like Atkins, they tell you to eat till you are full, as long as you are not consuming bad carbs. Also, it tells you to use dressings with real olive oil. I'm assuming this includes low-sugar dressings such as Italian and Blue Cheese? Thanks again everyone!

p.s. I will be picking up the book tomorrow!

Hi Siddy --- welcome.

We do not have to have certain serving sizes, however, you should eat until comfortable - not stuffed.

This WOE also allows you to not be hungry --- but again, it is not a license to stuff yourself. Hope this helps :)

In regards to the dressing --- low fat/low sugar under either 2 or 3 grams/serving of sugar is also allowed. Newman's own light italian dressing is perfect for this WOE
