SBD at college...HELP!

I am a college student and did the South Beach Diet during my summer at home with great results. However, now that I am back at school, I am finding it harder than ever to follow the plan. I live in a standard dorm room and there is no kitchen with appliances on any residential floor in my building, so making the different meals on the menu is impossible. There is only the dining hall, in which bad food is everywhere! I try to go for the proteins and stay away from the carbs, but it is extremely difficult. For breakfast, (when I have time before my early classes) I try to get an egg white omlette. But most of the time I want something fast and my only other options are cereal, donuts, and fruit. Generally, the foods that I should be eating (hamburgers, chicken, etc) generate the biggest lines. And who wants to wait in a long line when they're hungry??? I really want to get back on track but I am finding it increasingly difficult. Any advice anyone could give would be a great help!!

Is there anyway you could put a small fridge in your room? To keep salad stuff, string cheese, dressings, mayo and so forth? Canned tuna, chicken and salmon are good options.
Also you could keep nuts in your dorm room for snacking.
Does the cafe have a microwave that you could maybe cook oatmeal in for a quick breakfast?
I don't know your financial constraints, but there are some good low carb -- hi protein cereals out there also --- like Keto cocoa crisps --- no sugar, low fat and hi in protein.

Welcome to the Board, Shamrock!
While there may be temptations around on your college campus, you have to make this plan work for you. For breakfast, you can eat whole eggs--not just the whites. Does your college campus have scrambled eggs already prepared? Can you suggest whole grain cereals, such as All-Bran, be served? How about a salad bar at lunch and/or dinner...is it available? It could be that you sometimes will need to stand in the longer lines at lunch and/or dinner, and need to plan to do so.
Also, please see this link for a recent discussion of this WOE and college meal plans:

Good luck to you in your eating and your studies!

I'm a college student too. I live on campus, but we have apartments with full kitchens. I usually don't have time to cook so I have to go to the dining halls. I usually have a salad for lunch and dinner and get chicken or crabmeat to go with it. I hate going into the dining hall though because I'm surrounded by pizza and pasta. I'm on day 2 of Phase 1. But good luck with everthing. I think you should consider the fridge idea too. Oh, and does your salad bar include tuna or chicken salad, because mine usually does and that works out well.
If you are in Phases 2 or 3, does your college
