I haven't actually bought anything at Trader Joe's in a while, but it is a wonderful store to walk around in (and buy things, of course!). There are many products there that are acceptable on this diet, as it is a grocery store...what phase are you in?
I LOVE that store! THere is not a whole heck of a lot one can get there on Phase 1. I got their Lightly salted pistachios and coffee. Now I am in Phase 2 and loving life so much more! You can get their peanut or soybean butter which is great with their apple butter and LO and Behold they now have low carb bread and pasta... which I have yet to try. You can buy their hummus, any of their pasta sauces (though look for sugar in the ingredients) which are great on fish or chicken. I love their fresh frozen chicken pieces that can be cooked while still frozen and their frozen fishes and seafoods are great too. But I am a Sweetaholic and I have a very hard time shopping there... so many temptations!
I am feeding into my sweet tooth with sugar free Jello with fruit, sugar free yogurts, and sugar free fudgcicles (sp!?) which I have to buy at a regular grocery store.
If you see anything else low carb there let me know!
Just a general reminder: This diet is more about eating healthy carbs than eating low carbs. Personally, the "low carb" foods I've tried taste like cardboard. If you like them, go for it. If not, just buy "good carbs", such as whole grains, veggies other than carrots and potatoes (see the Revised Phase 1 and 2
