Hello everyone! I'm new here. I've been lurking around this forum for a few days and I am going to start SBD as soon as I get my books from Amazon. I have a question. I run 3 days a week, strenth train 2. I tried Atkins back in the summer and found after a few days I had no energy for running. How does SBD affect energy and endurance for exercise, specifically running? If anyone has any personal experience or input on the subject I would greatly appreciate it, as I don't want to stop/slow down my exercise program just because I am trying a new way of eating.

In regards to exercising --- during Phase 1, I was not able to exercise with any intensity. I had the same problem with Atkins.
Once I started Phase 2 ---- I was fine. In the book and on various websites, Dr. A
states that if you are physically active like that--- then you can go straight to Phase 2, you don't have to do Phase 1.
I decided to stay on Phase 1 for me though the 2 weeks, because I have a lot of weight to lose and am really carb addicted :), so I really needed to detox all the way. I am glad I did because I really love this WOE and feel more in control of what I put in my mouth than I have in years :)
There are a lot of different people here who have had different experiences with this - some people had no problem exercising.
