Offended? Sorry if you have been...

It has just come to my attention that some members of this board consider my posts to be rude and the think I come across as if I know it all. I wanted to apologize to anyone who has been offended by my posts. That is not at all what I have ever meant. When I suggest something, I'm just trying to be helpful. If it is not helpful to you, then ignore my suggestion. I certainly don't live in anyone else's body or anyone else's lifestyle, and I can't speak for anyone else.

I sometimes post tongue-in-cheek (like about California cheese) and I thought the LOL emoticon I used at the top made that clear...maybe not. I also post a lot of 2 cents posts, and again, I thought the 2 cents emoticon made that clear.

I do agree that this board needs more than one cl-. I applied, but was ignored (maybe the CM's thought I came across as a know-it-all, too, I don't know. I do feel strongly, though, that this is too busy of a borad for one cl-, and that others could also help out. If you are interested, I do encourage you to apply to ivillage--and I certainly am only saying this to be helpful. There are definitely some members that I think would make great cl-s for this board.

I totally agree with you, Alison! There is often more than one right way to do or express something. Just because one person does something differently from

When I find something I like (do a search of "free animation") I right click on it... to "copy" then "paste" it into an email I send myself for future use.

Can you add those animations to the ivillage posts if you are just a freebie member, and not a paying member? I like your animations, and your posts are very helpful to people.

Hi Catherine, I'm sorry for the stress you went through with that email situation.

It wasn't cattiness, just a little broken wings here and there. Nothing you won't find in the "real" world. Catherine, why don't you re-apply, and this time, contact Ivillage directly by sending them an email. I think any number on this board would be a great CL. Gretchen would rock. Ellen and Maryann would be great! Runnermom79, I swear no bias here, would be great as well. We do need another CL here. Atkins has 4, and they are very active.

It nice to have healthy discussions as long as we don't start calling each other names and making voodoo dolls. With a little more positive guidance and CL help, maybe we could piece and mend the discussions folders so people will find the items needed. This board it huge. That is a great thing though. Think of all the inches and pounds being lost, and the confidence and health that is being gained.

Ria.

Ria, that first sentence in my post (the cattiness word) was not about this thread, at all.
