Offended? Sorry if you have been...

It has just come to my attention that some members of this board consider my posts to be rude and the think I come across as if I know it all. I wanted to apologize to anyone who has been offended by my posts. That is not at all what I have ever meant. When I suggest something, I'm just trying to be helpful. If it is not helpful to you, then ignore my suggestion. I certainly don't live in anyone else's body or anyone else's lifestyle, and I can't speak for anyone else.
I sometimes post tongue-in-cheek (like about California cheese) and I thought the LOL emoticon I used at the top made that clear...maybe not. I also post a lot of 2 cents posts, and again, I thought the 2 cents emoticon made that clear.
I do agree that this board needs more than one cl-. I applied, but was ignored (maybe the CM's thought I came across as a know-it-all, too, I don't know. I do feel strongly, though, that this is too busy of a borad for one cl-, and that others could also help out. If you are interested, I do encourage you to apply to ivillage--and I certainly am only saying this to be helpful. There are definitely some members that I think would make great cl-s for this board.

Just wanted to clarify that when I referred to "purists" on the board, I wasn't referring to a certain person, and certainly not to you in particular. I'm not familiar enough yet with the people on the board to keep straight who posts what.
I agree, there's definitely nothing wrong with lively debate.

The reason I was so eager to bump this post down last night was because I thought it was something negative that a newcomer shouldn't be hit with first thing when they look at the board, as it seems there are often many newcomers on Mondays and Tuesdays. Well, apparently others didn't agree, which is definitely fine. SOOO, I won't worry about it any longer.
Geeeeee, I started this thread in the first place because I was told people were offended by my posts...since I haven't heard anything differently, except from the person who emailed me, I'm not gonna worry about that any longer, either. I thought things were OK on this board, but I did also think that a few people were getting a little too "heated" about what was the "right" way to do this diet. Oh well! Again, I do believe some good things are coming out of that part of the discussion, too.
And about more cl-'s? Well, that is why I applied in the first place. I have thought that all those mentioned would make excellent cl-'s, along with a few others. I do hope that they apply, as well. We surely could use more than one on such a busy board! Just for history's sake, we did have two cl-'s here over the summer. One stepped down when school started, and the other hasn't been as active since. I noticed that she does check in from time to time, but on this busy board, I would feel overwhelmed if I only checked in from time to time and felt a responsibility to read more than just a few posts!!! But again, that's just me. I think the only reason I mentioned that I applied is because I'm getting frustrated to see that changes need to be made and feel a little powerless to try to effect change. In fact, that is what the other post was about. I'll definitely have to repost that one....
That said...!! :-)
