When craving SALT... what do you eat???

Salty cravings are the most difficult for me to satisfy on this diet.  I can't turn to nuts because I just don't have the will power to stop at 10.  What are you eating when you get that yearning for something salty?

Thanks in advance!

I was SOOOO glad I didn't have to give up olives in Phase 1. Now, rereading the excerpt from the book in the link at the top of the page (how's that for too many prep phrases strung together?!?), it mentions only black olives during Phase 1. I ate--and continue to enjoy--all types of olives. Other than the curing, are olives THAT different in terms of nutrition or digestion?

Oh Susan sorry to be misleading with the directions. My beagle pup was bugging me for a walk this morning.

When I said "above the water" I meant you could steam them using a steaming basket or strainer. 5 min or so is good for boiling them in the water. for boiling and steaming I watch the color of the veggie. It should be bright, if it's too dull or turning brownish, then I've steamed or boiled for too long. Hope that helps. Enjoy them with your kids... I was raised eating them with my mom. She made me an addict. LOL

BEEF JERKEY! I found that the Walmart original is the only one with carbs low enough- only 2 carbs per serving and 1 fat gram! TONS of salt so I try to drink extra water-

ALSO, I keep celery stalks in a bowl of water in the fridge and dip into my Marie's Blue Cheese dresssing... which is zero carbs but high fat. I don't do a lot of the carbs others do (beans etc) so I allow myself more fat on the salad dressing.
