A friend of mine's husband was recently put on a low carb diet by his doctor... to reduce his cholesterol and triglicerides. (Amazing how the medical community is beginning to get it). Anyhow, he likes his football and snacks, so now my friend is trying to come up with good low carb finger food for him on football Sundays. I was hoping some of you fine ladies may be able to help.

TIA,

Merrie

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

what about a veggie tray with a really good dip? Lower in fat of course! Or make chicken tenders with no breading, add a little hot sauce for dipping, and a low fat blue cheese dressing?

Cheese and roasted red peppers? Fresh Mozzarella or Sharp Provolone are good choices.

Thats all I can really think of at the moment, hope that helps!

My DH also lives low-carb and he is a football fan---his favorites are the meat and cheese platter, celery and carrots with blue cheese dressing dip, and a bowl of mixed nuts. If your friend is following the SBD---choose low fat meats and cheeses, nix the carrots and go for a variety of veggies, make the blue cheese dip fat free and limit the nuts....otherwise enjoy and Go team!
