Let's see. . . ."technically" I have been on SB for a week. But let me tell you, I have been so discouraged! I have cheated mercilessly! I just can't seem to help myself! It's almost like there are too many choices with SB and so, maybe I don't feel like I am dieting??

Oh, I don't know!! I am post-Atkins and I did great with that! The only reason I switched is that I was bored with my food choices and having a lot of trouble digesting all that fat! I felt sick a lot of the time but, I was losing weight.

I am feeling sorry for myself and I need to just quit it and get back on the horse!

Thanks for letting me "cry".

Hey Amy!

Just writing to check in on you and see how your day went with the willpower. You know I'm starting into Phase II, actually I'm sticking closer to Phase I but incorporating some of the Phase II plan into it. And you know that has really helped my cravings for stuff. I believe if you used to eat a lot of fruit, that is probably what you're missing. I start my mornings now with frozen strawberries (thawed of course) and pour half a container of fat free yogurt on it. YYYUUUMMM! And it really help eliminate the majority of cravings. Try to tell yourself, "It's only for fourteen days" And then you can start adding some of that yummy fruit back into your life! Hope the day went well with you. Keep strong!

All my support,

Amy,

I was on Atkins before too, so I know what how you feel. When I first came on SBD, I was like WOW! I can have whole grain bread and whole wheat pasta sometimes on phase II ? Then when I started to eat some at first, I felt incredibly guilty, I was brainwashed to find that ALL carbs were pretty bad. So anyways, when I started to add more carbs, I found it hard to 'believe' that I was still 'dieting' and still losing weight. I struggled with will power to not add the really bad carbs.

I know you can do it. Phase I is only 2 weeks, and I SWEAR your cravings will go away! I'm a Receptionnist, and I keep a full jar of yummy campino sugary candy on my desk to give out, and at first the candy jar was like a ticking bomb to me (that's how it felt like). I honestly SWEAR that these days, I do not crave those candies at all, in fact, I don't even notice them anymore.

Good Luck! Keep us posted on your progress!

Nancy :)
