I've heard this helps you lose weight. Does anyone have any info on it? Also, is stomach fat what you really lose most of in this diet?TIA.

I don't know if a fell for a phony selling point or if it's true, but One-A-Day makes a weight-loss vitamin that contains green tea extract (ECGC). Supposedly boosts your metabolism, and is ephedra- and caffeine-free. I don't know that it's boosting my metabolism any, but it's a multi with good values, so I take one every day.

Ria, you can put 2 tea bags in a whole pot of water and boil... by the time it boils it should be done.

Maybe it's the getting sick that's supposed to be the weight-loss aid? I take it every morning with my BP pill and my breakfast. I honestly have never had any ill effects from it (I've been told I have a cast-iron stomach, which is a little different from six-pac abs). But I wonder about its overall contribution to a weight-loss effort.

I love green tea, but most researchers seem to say that nothing has been proven in humans so far about tea consumption, and that you'd have to drink an awful lot of it to get those benefits (improved HDL levels, fights cancer, antioxidant benefits, etc.).

Tea bags really shouldn't be boiled in a pot for best flavor. See the following link (even though it refers to loose leaves, it works for bags too):
