I've heard this helps you lose weight. Does anyone have any info on it? Also, is stomach fat what you really lose most of in this diet?TIA.

Ida know. My mom's side of the family are big tea drinkers, and I was always taught to steep (or infuse, with loose leaves) the tea after the water has boiled. I've never done differently...think I heard somewhere along the line that boiling the tea leaves can make them bitter. At any rate, whatever works for you...
At any rate, I drink most teas without any added sweetener. In teas with a lot of black pekoe, I usually take milk. Some of the stronger teas, though, like Earl Grey or English Breakfast, are just not the same without a little taste of honey. My "sick and congested" tea remedy is lemon tea (can be herbal, not necessarily real tea) with honey.
I'm really working on getting so much coffee out my system. I've been up to (OK, don't gasp too loudly here) about 6-8 cups a day, almost completely in the morning! The caffeine is not affecting my weight, but making me really nervous and on edge. I used to be completely off of caffeine in college (except for when I absolutely needed to pull an all-nighter), and I really need to cut back.

I had always heard about boiling the tea making it bitter too. It's OK to boil the plain water just not with the tea in it, although if you don't overdo it, it seems to turn out all right.
I can't have caffeine too late in the day or I can't sleep. My husband can drink coffee right before bed, and it doesn't bother him at all. I love Constant Comment on cold evenings, so I was really happy when Bigelow came out with the decaf version. Also,

When I had the fibrocysts (not fibriods, and definitely benign), caffeine made them grow and tender. That is originally why I stopped drinking caffeine altogether. Eventually, though, I still had to have surgery to remove them (my doctor didn't like the looks of a couple, even though he didn't expect they'd ever turn into cancer or anything). I continued to drink less caffeine, even after they were removed, but then I got back into the habit again. BAD HABIT!! They aren't back, but nonetheless, I'm prone to them. That's yet another reason to get off so much caffeine....HELLO, Catherine!
The tea you mentioned sounded so good that I looked it up. Salada has come out with a white tea too. Here's the link:

I'll have to check to see if the purple antioxidant tea is carried here.

I take One-A-Day Weight Loss (when I remember), too. If I take one on an empty stomach, I absolutely get queasy! Centrum used to have the same results on an empty stomach. If I eat breakfast, the One-A-Day doesn't bother me at all.
As far as the tea debate, I haven't tried white tea. I've always been a big Earl Grey fan, so that's my tea of choice. I recently found an Earl Grey Green Tea, which is really good! Mine is decaf, so I'm not sure if they make one in decaf.
I'm going to look for decaff green or white tea on grocery day! It should be soo good when I'm freezing in the morning!

Thanks Rhonda!!!!
This is a quote from a periodical called "Alternatives" by Dr. David Williams:
"Get Lean with Green Tea"
Studies in Switzerland show that when green tea capsules are taken with a meal, subjects burned 80 additional calories, most of them from fat."
That was just a brief excerpt from a special report on proven weight-loss helpers. I haven't bought his newsletter or specials.
