Glad to be here but need some advice

Hello! I'm so glad to have found this site. I started the SBD last Thursday. This is the first one I've actually stuck with for more than 2 days. However, I'm starting to feel very tired with both of my legs feeling heavy. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would love an email buddy too. I finally decided I'm tired of being obsessed with weight loss, time to do it! My goal s 80 pounds. Anyone else out there with this much weight to lose? (I can't believe I have that much weigh to lose!)

Hi, Polly and welcome to the Sunny Beach!
A lot of people reported tiredness during Phase 1. I was remodeling and at home "on vacation"
Everyone here on the beach is very supportive and encouraging. I have felt tired during phase one but have not had leg problems. I exercise most days of the week so my legs always feel tired. LOL But I've had great success on this way of eating. I haven't cheated and I've lost 7lbs in my first week. I'm still in phase one but soon I'll be shifting to phase two. I need to lose 65lbs. I too can't believe I have to lose that much. It's like being in chubby denial or something. My Body Mass Index is also into the obese range. I couldn't believe it! I'm obese? I don't feel obese. And that was the last straw for me.. then I found this diet and it has made all the difference in my life. I really feel like I can do it this time, I can really lose ALL the weight. So I'm here if you need Chubby Buddy for support. My email is crookedhalo_grl@yahoo.com

I started P1 on November 1st. I haven't lost as quickly as some people but two years ago I lost 75 pounds by starving myself, so perhaps I have my metabolism all messed up. Who knows...but it is coming off slowly anyway with this WOE. I am on Day 19 and have only lost 6.5 pounds!!!! I was really exhausted the first week and somewhat the second week but feel better now. I have 75 pounds to lose from my starting weight and would love to be your e-mail buddy!! You can reach me at cyndie1030@yahoo.com.
Good luck and I'll be keeping you in my thoughts!!!

I'm fairly new to this board (I've been lurking and posting for 1-2 months now..) and I can't believe I haven't found this sooner! I find this board to be such a great inspiration to me!
I felt REALLY tired on phase I. But it went away, then the goodness! I have felt alive and energized (Not like an energizer bunner, but enough to notice the difference from before!). It took about 2-3 weeks on this WOE for me to really get the benefits (or notice them) other than the weight loss. I would stay on this WOE forever even if I didn't lose weight on it now hehe *knocks on wood*

Edited to add : Oooops forgot this ! My email is nancy.vienneau@gnb.ca, and I have another 150 lbs to lose!!! YIKES!

I joined an SBD email support group when I first started that I found on this board. It's been really great, and we'd love to have you join us if you like :-) I believe there are nine of us now, some on Phase 1 and some on Phase 2, everyone is very friendly and open to new people.
Email me at shandcsbd@excite.com and I'll pass your message along to Becca, who organized it for us.
Take care,

I am starting the South Beach Diet tomarrow. I am going to buy the CD first thing in the morning. I would love to be an email buddy with you. I need to loose 30 - 40 pounds. I am 5' 7" tall and weigh 180 right now. Never before have I been this heavy. I find myself not wanting to do things outside of the house and when I do go somewhere I sit in corners and will not walk in front of people. I am very excited to start the SBD and sharing ideas and successes with you all.
Sincerely,
Barb in MN
