"Eat until satisfied" question!

I am on Day 19 of P1 and have only lost 6.5 pounds. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I haven't been cheating and I am eating more healthy than I ever have before in my life. There are only two things I can think of that I may be doing wrong. I had read someone else's post on here about making up nut cups for an afternoon snack consisting of 5 almonds, 5 cashews, 3 pecans and 2 macadamia nuts. However, I cannot find roasted almonds or cashews. They are pretty salty (but I confess, I love them like that!). Perhaps I am getting too much salt in my diet from them and the other foods I eat all day and it is causing me to retain water. The second thing that may be my problem are portion sizes. The Dr. says to "eat until satisfied", but what exactly does that mean? Sometimes I am eating when I'm not even hungry (breakfast first thing in the morning especially), so just a few bites of something "satisfies" me...but if I stop right there, then I will be hungry later. So, I tell myself to finish it so I don't end up starving, which will kick off cravings. I think I am finding myself in this "clean off your plate" mentality, so I may be eating past the point where I'm "satisfied". But, I'm afraid if I eat less at meal times, I'll get hungry quicker.
Any hints or suggestions?

First, would you be willing to share with us how much you weigh, or even better, how much weight you need to lose ? Personally, I say don't expect to lose 13 lbs the first 2 weeks. I think that 5.6 lbs is GREAT! If you have less weight to lose, that might explain why you lost less than you expected...
From my personal experience, I only lost 8 lbs in the first 2 weeks. (I expected to lose 13-15, of water weight, since I weighed 317 lbs... I had A LOT to lose!) I was very discouraged to find that I had lost less than expected. But for me, I think that I had been eating SO UNHEALTHY for SO long, that my body needed time to 'boost' my metabolism again. I seem to be losing a lot faster now that I've been on this WOE (way of eating) for a while and exercising a bit. (I still don't exercise as much as I should, but I'm doing okay in my very humble opinion since I used to be lazier than a couch potato LOL)
So Hang in there, maybe your metabolism also forgot how energized it CAN be! If you have been yo-yo dieting over the years like me, maybe your body thinks that this won't last. I know you can do it :) (If I can, anyone can!)

I actually started this at 214 and this morning was down to 207.5. Two years ago I had weighed my highest of 230 pounds and lost 75 pounds by starving myself and walking. But, predictably, as soon as I started eating again (same bad habits as before) the weight crept right back on. My sister had fits before when I was starving myself and said I was going to permanently mess up my metabolism and would have trouble losing weight again. I am wondering now if she is right?
I want to get down to 140 pounds, so I have 75 to lose total. If I only had 10 or so, I would be thrilled with the amount I've lost so far. But with 75 pounds to lose, I assumed it would go much faster at the beginning.
Thanks much for your help, Nancy!!

The starvation thing.. been there, done that, bought the t-shirt LOL BAD BAD BAD! I do believe that I screwed up my metabolism by yo-yo dieting and BAD dieting, BUT I am proof that it's fixable!
Personally, I went from being a 317 lbs couch potato to try to go to the gym 5x a week. It was just too hard for me, and I wasn't losing as fast as I expected for all the hard work I was putting into it.
Then a friend suggested that maybe I had to find 'MY' exercise. One that my body can handle, that would relax me (gym was stressful for me for self esteem reasons..), and to my surprise when I started to walk 3x a week, 30 mins, I started to shrink! AND it boosted my metabolism to the point where I find I just lose more weight quickly, because I started walking! Maybe you need to find 'your' exercise to 'boost' your metabolism again ?
P.S. Also, I use the measuring tape a lot. I find that I retain a lot of water, and get bloated easily (especially during TOM (time of month!) I actually gain about 2 lbs every TOM...) But the measuring tape reassures me when I see that I haven't gained inches OR keep losing inches!
