Hi, I have made it myself, however, if you make it as per the directions and you add the oil, then you are definitely adding fat and usually it is about 9 grams of fat per serving.

It is ok to eat, however, you should apportion it to the 75 calorie/day limit on sweet things -- which is about 1/2 a serving when prepared.

I am glad someone ask about the Atkins packaged mixes. I was wondering if they were ok as well. When I saw the price I wanted to wait and see if anyone on here said they were worth it or not. I also saw just single package of cookies and candies that were supposedly "good carbs" according to the label. They weren't near as expensive and I thought if I just had one or two around, the temptation wouldn't be as overwhelming, but they would be there if I had a craving. I am a real sweet tooth. If anyone has ever tried them, would love to know your opinion. I am basically still on P1, although I have been on it for over 2 weeks. I wanted to jump start the Thanksgvining holiday. Next week I plan on introducing a few P2 foods. I love coming on this board and reading all the information provided from others.

Happy Dieting,

Lynn

Hi all...I am still on P1 (I wanted to stay on this for a total of four weeks) but when I move into P2 are we allowed these banana nut muffins? They sound great, but I thought bananas were still on the no-no list? And has anyone ever found that after 'cleansing' your body of the desire for sweets, that eating legal chocolate chip muffins or something along those lines brings back your cravings for baked goods? In case you can't tell, I'm really nervous about moving to P2!!!

Thanks!!

Hi Cyndie,

The good carbs to add back in when you start P2 are the better fruit choices (lower on the glycemic index), the low or nonfat dairy products, whole grain starches (to be used sparingly), some additional legumes, fat-free pudding, etc.

Hi girls, I found a site that shows the exact ingredient lists of each of the mixes, which is good info to have.
