I bought some atkins banana bread mix. it was really good. It only has 3 carbs and 0 sugar, low fat and calories. is this safe for P1? I cant see how it couldnt be. I really needed a sweet treat and i love fruit breads. It was sooooooooooooooo good, but i felt like i was cheating!!!!!!

It is ok to eat, however, you should apportion it to the 75 calorie/day limit on sweet things -- which is about 1/2 a serving when prepared.

I have tried some of the Atkins pre-packaged mixes.
Thanks!!

They sound great, but I thought bananas were still on the no-no list?
Hi Cyndie,
The good carbs to add back in when you start P2 are the better fruit choices (lower on the glycemic index), the low or nonfat dairy products, whole grain starches (to be used sparingly), some additional legumes, fat-free pudding, etc.

Hi girls, I found a site that shows the exact ingredient lists of each of the mixes, which is good info to have.
