What can you wear now?

I've been going through something of mine to see what I can and cannot wear. I was surprise at how things fit now, and it is almost like I went shopping without the receipts!

Does anyone have anything out in their closets they can wear now but a little while you couldn't wear?

Mine is a Red fitted T shirt with a penguin and it says "chill out." lol. Don't ask. My other thing are my straight leg on-sale gap jeans. YIPPIE!

Anyone else going through their closets?

Actually, my closet problem today was what is not too baggy !! I had a funeral to go to and all of my slacks are too baggy, so I had to go in a dress ( a once a year occurance for me). Guess I need to go shopping, got a christmas party coming up in 2 weeks, need a nice pair of slacks and blouse. Cheryl

Before I post this I want to preface this by saying that I am very petite! I am 5'4" and have a very small frame. When I started SBD my clothes were tight around my belly... some could not be buttoned... and some were too uncomfortable. I was a 4 and growing in to a 6. I had told myself that if the scale hit 120 I would go on a diet. It did and I found SBD.

5 (?) weeks later and 9 pounds down the new size 6 pants I purchased in September are too large. I am wearing size 4 and 2 -- in some cases regular and in some cases petite.

I am about 5 pounds away from what I hope to be my final goal -- and when I hope that all will look good on me... though admittedly there is still excess around the hips, thighs and belly. (I really do have a very small frame.)

you know, i don't think I was ever a size 2!!! LOL...I think I went straight from little girls sizes to a 7/8. I'm almost 5'7" so I'm TRYING to get to that 6. Thanks for prefacing your post with that "disclaimer". If you were my height, we'd be suggesting counseling:)

Congrats!!!!!!! I like to hear what you guys are finding fits now, and in some cases, what doesn't fit on the baggie side!

I am on the other end of the spectrum. I am 6', 8in wrist, long legs and torso (how that happened, I don't know), no boo-tay, and I am on a big frame, but I hide my overage very well.

I told my mom that when I was put together, the big guy looked at leftover parts and said "Well, it will have to do." lol.

I too had a walk thru the closet this morning, to check progress. I am a smaller frame and 5'5 1/2". i look best as a 2-4 size, depending how straight the cut, and 120-125 lbs, if I am muscular. (not nearly as little as Jessica!) I have one pair of fat jeans, a stretchy size 8 gap jeans (very unforgiving in cut)--they were falling off me last night. i will celebrate by giving away, in honor of shedding layer. also, I tried on a size 4 banana republic pencil skirt this morning and it looks great---I bought it four months ago (I WILL LOSE WEIGHT thinking) and never worn it.

Question: I am day 8 of P1 and scale isn't much different from starting weight, though I clearly look less fatty and clothes fit better. Did anyone else find that the first week this occurred? Any suggestions as to how to deal with it, how to tweak things. I am not totally discouraged but the mental game with the #'s is tough.

It can be tough. Just think of yourself right now as an iches girl. Measurements are a great resource for when you really start to see things change. if you post your menu, there are some great gals out there who can help out and give you suggestions if you want them. As with life, we are diverse group and suggestions might become heated when talking about what the book says and what a few people think. You'll find your groove.

Congrats on the closet walk through!

About a month ago, i got sick of all of my suits falling off and i went to have them tailored. Even though i'd at that point lost about 12 pounds, when i told the tailor i had lost a little bit of weight he said, "what, like 30 pounds?" I think it was because it all came off in the middle--exactly where all of the pants were too big. So, anyway, now half of my suits fit and i'm waiting until i hit goal to alter the rest (those alterations can be expensive!!!)

I'm now in a definite size 4, thinking about a 2. I dont even think about medium shirts anymore (which is a first for me in like 10 years.) This is from a size eight(bordering at one time on ten--at 5'5" that was hard for me to admit.) I can't believe it. It's funny, clothes sizes have changed almost more than the scale would indicate. I guess all of that weight is just moving around to different places.

I havent really done any shopping yet, except for friends' closets and one dress i wore to a wedding this weekend. It was the funniest thing---i didnt even know what size to look for. It was even more fun than shoe shopping---and when's the last time that happenned?!

Thanks for the post idea Ria!

Hope

I appreciate your response Hope, as it appears we are the same height and have almost exact goals, weight wise, and size. I am day 8 and though the clothes are looser I haven't lost but one pound. 12-13 pounds is fabulous but the sizes are even better! congrats to you. i am inspired.
