Pre-Newbie here.......i have about 75 lbs to loose, OK really 100 if I want to be back down to post highschool weight, but that's not really realistic,.....I drop 75 LOL and i'll be just fine, move over Pamela Anderson! (smile)
Anyone else here need to loose that amount of weight.....anyone here have success already loosing 40+ lbs?
I'm wanting to start NOW but dread setting myself up for failure with Thanksgiving being this week, we go to Disney on vacation from dec 10-14 and then Christmas. But I just don't want to wait anymore, so I may just start on Dec 2nd.
My husband is starting with me, THANK GOD, he's about 70 lbs overweight and with heart problems from his father and grandfather (both died of heart diesease) he's ready to loose the weight.
I figure if I start now, when we take our vacation I can just stay way from carb's and request meat and vege's.....any advise on that, anyone travel to Disney and be successful?
Thanks so much for any information you can provide!
I"m just *FINALLY* sick and tired of being sick and tired of carrying this weight!

I have about 65 to loose, but I would be happy with 55. Today is my 11th day on the plan, and I have lost 8 pounds. My husband is not on the plan with me, so we end up eating different meals. This is the longest I have stayed with a plan this strict, and it is because I am seeing result. I will be staying on phase 1 for an additional week, then I will be doing phase 2 3-4 days per week, and phase 1 the other days. I want to gradually bring in carbs.
I live in Canada, so I don't have to worry about Thanksgiving on Thursday. As for your vacation, if you start the plan soon, you could do like I am doing (allow yourself some carbs every other day). The same for Christmas. It will also help that your husband is on the plan too. You can support each other.
My husband is very supportive of me, but he can eat anything and not gain. He even offers to eat in a different room, but it is amazing how much willpower I have. His food doesn't even bother me.
If you want to e-mail me directly at marciab@accesscomm.ca, we can support each other too.
Good luck to you and have fun on your trip.
