I cheated really badly on both Saturday and Sunday...I started SBD on 10/20/03 and have been sooooo good...and this weekend I just lost control...Ihad a party on Saturday with a buffet...and there was plenty of SBD-friendly stuff...I just made wrong choices...and then I got the additude of "oh well I might as well enjoy myself since I already cheated"...I am so upset with myself...so today I am on P1 again for the next few days...how does everybody else deal with cheating if/when they do...?
thanks

Don't beat yourself up over this, everyone has moments of cheating to get over. Personally, I slipped up and had pizza on Friday when we had people over...and then the leftovers on Saturday. So yesterday I was just really careful, and today so far as well.
Slip ups happen, the book even has a few testimonials from people who got back on the wagon and some from people who didn't. Taking a step back is the only way to deal with it, so you're already on the right track. I know I'm not going to follow the plan perfectly, and that no one else will either (unless they're some kind of robot!) for the amount of time it will take for me to reach my goal. For me, the important thing is to just keep on going, take a step back when I need to, and still remember that even with a step back here and there, I'm still further along than when I started!

Cheating happens. You can't beat yourself up about it. I find that when I fall off the wagon, it makes me terribly depressed too. I combat it by increasing my excersize. Excersizing improves mood anyway, but especially in this situation. Plus, you are burning off some of those extra calories and jumpstarting your weightloss again. Try that and see if it helps.
Good luck!

I feel bad about it, but I don't feel like I went overboard.
Isn't it nice to come here and have everyone's support and encouragement? You can do this!

1. you came here and talked about it.
2. you picked yourself up and started again.
That is what it is all about --- no one is perfect ---- the way you know that you have begun to turn this "diet" into a way of eating for life is when you take a walk on the boardwalk --- you jump right back into the sand.
