Free speech

I'm a little upset recently to see posts about people attacking other people's rights to have and express opinions that are not in sync with the mainstream. For my part, I'm really big on free speech rights. I hate TOS's in general, I admit it, not because I have any unexpressed rage or hatred to spew (believe me, when I'm raging, NOTHING is unexpressed), but because I think there's too much gray area in there if some of the posts on this board have fallen on the wrong side of the policy.
There's a great quote, which unfortunately I can't find verbatim and don't know who to attribute it to, but it goes something like this. Free speech is being willing to defend to the death someone else's right to dedicate his life to espousing something you would dedicate your life to oppose.
So, ladies and gents, let's chill a little on the censorship, ok?

Free speech is intended to protect the controversial and even outrageous word; and not just comforting platitudes too mundane to need protection. --Colin Powell
