Hi,
I have been on Atkins for almost a year and have had a lot of success. Lately though, I have been struggling with the inflexibility and am about to switch to South Beach, but I need some help. Any good tips or suggestions. I currently weigh about 5 pounds more than my goal weight. Should I give up all the atkins treats like endulge bars and carb-rite candies? Are Atkins Advantage Bars allowed?
Thanks for all the help!

In regards to giving up your endulge bars and such (and are they good or what :) ).
According to the book, we are allowed to have 75 calories per day of sugar free treats.
So I guess fitting the portion size of any of the bars would be appropriate.
When I do eat them, I eat the whole bar which is generally between 120 and 150 calories per day and I have not had any adverse affects, however, that is just me.
My best tip I can think of to you is add back the good carbs slowly, maybe 1 every few days to see how your body reacts --- everyone's is different. At the same time, if you are a big bacon, sausage, high fat eater, cut back on those. This WOE recommends leaner cuts of meats and limits things like bacon to a couple of slices a day and recomments turkey bacon rather than regular.
Hope this helps. Good luck
Ellen
