No Eggs?

My husband and I are starting SBD tomorrow (pray for us). I told him how important breakfast is but he doesn't eat eggs! Anyother suggestions for breakfast? All of the sample meals I've seen for P1 have eggs, including the quiche. I don't want him to give up on the meal of his first day....PLEASE HELP!

TIA,

Jessi

Welcome!!! My husband is in the Army and we live overseas in Okinawa, Japan. My husband and I are both not really big on breakfast. So I cook extra dinner and he can have leftovers the next morning. Or we like protein shakes. You can make your own or buy pre-made cans like Myoplex. The first phase is the most strict.. and it's only two weeks (just keep reminding yourself, "only two weeks") after which you can have other stuff like oatmeal or bran cereal(in phase 2). Sometimes I have a salad for breakfast. If I want something sweet I'll try the Ricotta Cheese desserts from the book and have that in the morning too with some tea. Really anything that works for you is great. As long as you stick to the food list you can personalize your meal plans for your family. Good luck!

I have a silly question, but what do you do with cottage cheese? lol. It just doesn't smell all that great to me (be glad you can't see the face i am making now!). I would welcome any suggestions. My friend puts balsamic vinegar on his, and I wouldn't even touch the stuff.

Thanks:)

Hi Ria,

I know that many people have trouble with cottage cheese (the texture and curd thing).
