What are you eating for lunch today?
Please include the phase you are in!

Side note:  I hope you all are not put-out by my recent increase in these types of posts.  My renewed enthusiasm stems from my recommit to the program (thanks Ria for the start of that thread!!!), and sharing meal ideas really helps pump-me-up!

Susan,

I really like these threads! I do have one suggestion, though...maybe tomorrow we can put them down in the recipe section? Things tend to get lost too fast up here in General!

In the interest of honesty and confession, here's my lunch today. I had two all-turkey hot dogs (no buns), and then a small brownie (TOM, couldn't resist). The other part of the problem is that I have NO veggies in the house right now except the stir-fry stuff I'm saving for dinner tonight. Cash flow issues, no groceries until payday on Friday :-)

chicken, cabbage and pepper salad with thai dressing

Hope that sounds delicious!
Did you make it up?
Where do you get Thai dressing?

That should be fine, but I'd let it thaw first. You dont' want too much liquid in this, and the thawing process will get the water out of the cauliflower. (same with the spinach)

I get it at a restaurant near my office but if i were to guestimate the recipe it would be:

salad:

grilled boneless chicken breast cut into 1/4" pieces

cabbage sliced like cole slaw

raw red peppers sliced the same way

some raw red onion

sesame seeds (toasted and sprinkled on top after it's tossed)

the restaurant version also includes raw carrots and some fried soba noodles but i exclude them

dressing: (and i'm really guessing here)

1/4 cup fat free mayo

1T sesame oil

1T peanut butter

3T rice wine vinegar

some chopped up cilantro

maybe some lime if that's too rich

good luck!

Hope

Hi Susan,

The Progresso lentil soup is pretty good - I just add a little grated parmesan to pump up the taste. Enjoy!

Well, I have blown it today, but I will be back on track tomorrow. I'm on Phase I, but had a holiday party to go to that I organized. It was at a wonderful private club downtown that has fabulous food. I had to get stuff done around here and get ready early, so all I had for breakfast was the Purple Antioxidant Tea I got recently. It's a nice change.

I did pretty well at lunch compared to what I could have done. Had a nice salad for starters and passed up the bread that looked wonderful. The entree was served buffet style, so I got some great salmon, steamed broccoli, and a little bit of yellow rice, because everyone was saying it actually had saffron in it and was so good. I passed on the homemade beef pot pie, carrots, and pork roast. Where I really got way off the beach was with dessert. It was the most fabulous turtle cheesecake type dessert! If I smoked I'd have needed a cigarette afterward!!! LOL!

Anyway, for dinner I will have leftover turkey and lots of kale to try to make up for it.

Hi Rhonda,

Don't worry about the dessert!!! It sounds like you had a very SBD lunch!! I bet that you won't see any difference tomorrow on the scale. And whether you do or not, just have a better day tomorrow and don't feel guilty about it.

I have been on P2/P3 for a few weeks, but over the weekend, I had a run in with a cake. It was my birthday, so I had a piece. The next morning I had it for breakfast, then lunch, then I just threw it away!!! Yes, I did see a little gain after all of that, but I will be OK in two or three days of P1.

This is the way this WOE is supposed to work!!

Good luck, and enjoy your next dessert!!
