What are you eating for lunch today?
Please include the phase you are in!

Side note:  I hope you all are not put-out by my recent increase in these types of posts.  My renewed enthusiasm stems from my recommit to the program (thanks Ria for the start of that thread!!!), and sharing meal ideas really helps pump-me-up!

I have been on P2/P3 for a few weeks, but over the weekend, I had a run in with a cake. It was my birthday, so I had a piece. The next morning I had it for breakfast, then lunch, then I just threw it away!!! Yes, I did see a little gain after all of that, but I will be OK in two or three days of P1.
This is the way this WOE is supposed to work!!
Good luck, and enjoy your next dessert!!
Karen

Way to go & Happy Birthday Karen!!!

Happy Birthday

Thanks for the support, Cathy and Susan. I think there are times in life when you just need to allow yourself to go with the flow -- birthdays, special gatherings, etc., and try not to feel guilty about it. One meal or one day blown doesn't mean you have to throw in the towel on your whole attempt at eating healthier. On that note, I will do better tomorrow. :-)

By the way, Happy Birthday Cathy!

Rhonda

Wow! A months worth of menus in 1 day! Susan, you can write a book now!

For lunch I had a salad, bagged spinach and spring mix topped with a chopped slice each of low fat cheese, turkey and roast beef, mixed with tomato, avocado, cucumber, celery and drizzled with evoo.

Roasted chicken salad from a nearby restaurant (scraped off the sandwich bread, of which I ate 1/2 of 1 slice) and an orange. Nothing at home was appealing in any way with my tummy still feeling iffy, but I had to eat, so I went the "kill-me-or-cure-me" route. It actually settled my stomach down.

Now I'm too full to think about dinner....

Karen and Susan - I usually, faithfully, get the low-fat, low-salt version of the Progresso soups. Last time at the store I made a mistake and bought the regular lentil soup. Ick. Too much salt (twice the amount as the health version), and I swear the salt reacts with the metal of the can and alters the taste. At least it tastes that way to me. Just a word of warning.

I also love the lentil soup with a sprinkle of parmesan.
