What have you snacked on today?
I'm hoping to really finds some new ideas here.

What phase would your snack be alright for?

-----------------------------------

Let's see today I had a slice of reduced fat cabots cheddar (so good).  This afternoon I had about 6 HUGE green olives I got from the olive bar at my food store.  Yum.  Cravings gone!

This was a post in this thread from gipsimom:

"I'm new here too and have another cheese question-- I like the Laughing Cow (lite), but also like to snack on those little round cheeses in the red wax that you peel off (I can't remember what they're called, but they come in a little mesh bag-- like 6 of them and they are lite). Have y'all seen these? And are they okay? Many thanks!"

I ended up getting those because I have searched high and low for the Light Laughing Cow wedges and can't find them anywhere. Here is the nutrional info: Calories: 70, Total Fat: 6 g, Sat Fat: 4g, Total Carb: 0, Sugars: 0, Protein: 5g.

What do you think? Are these okay for P1 for gipsimom?

Thanks!!

Hi Cindie!

Sorry I was hoping someone more familiar with that cheese might respond.

To all who are searching for the Laughing Cow cheese,

You can find this cheese in the UN-REFRIGERATED cheese section of the store (where the keep Velveeta, et al.) It comes in a flat, round cardboard box.

Good Luck!!

I have actually been buying the refrigerated Laughing Cow Mini Bonne Bell light cheddar - they are the ones with the red wax. I have an aversion to non-refrigerated cheese. Preservatives!

I also eat the little cheeses in the red wax. Dr. A said that most white cheeses are ok, so I assumed that this one was too. Even if it's not, I will not quit eating it. I think it's fine for a snack every once in a while.

What is the difference between the red wax and the yellow wax Laughing Cow cheeses. I couldn't find the answer on the bags or the cheese. I know I like the yellow better.

Thanks for letting us know what Laughing Cow cheese the book talked about. I know now what to look for.
