Now this is the story all about how

Our lives got flipped turned upside down

So why don't you take a minute, just sit right there

We'll tell you how we became the Queens of a Beach East of Bel-Air...

In Cheerleaderadelphia, born and raised

On the playing fields is where I spent most of my days

Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool and all

Tossin' up the mad stunts outside of the school

When it was all over and off to college I went

Suddenly the cafe food turned my skirt into a tent!

I got on one little scale and my brain went EEK

Said, "Girl, you got to get yourself onto the Beach!"

OK, so I skipped the two post-college years when I refused to look at a scale :-) Anyway, you get the idea...who wants to take the next verse?

Feelin' silly,

Shan

LOL!! TOO FUNNY! I am laughing so hard my boss is looking around the corner at me!

Here's the second verse!

So, I went to the store to buy me a book

The cover was blue and it had a very shiny look

If anything, I could say that this book was shady

Until I read it , and decided to become a slim lady!

I pulled up to the store to buy the right food

And I thought to myself, we can have meat?? Cool Dude!

Now, I look in the mirror and think...I'm almost there!

I can now buy a bikini as a queen of a Beach East of Bel-Air!

Feeling as silly as Shan!

Being chunky really bites

When your rolls poke out

And your clothes are too tight.

After 40 it’s a big mistake

If you keep letting it go

And keep eating the office cake.

Boyfriend went to the Beach in July

Where he’s lost 40 pounds

And is looking very fly!

“I want some of THAT”

Maggie thought to herself,

So she got off her butt

And got “the” book off the shelf.

12 pounds down and a couple of inches,

The clothes are now fitting

and the panties aren’t pinching.

Smaller sizes are yet to come,

With a healthy BMI

And fitness….what fun.

She’s bypassing the cakes

That are covered with goo,

If Maggie can do it,

I know you can, too!

When friction from my thighs could start a fire

And what used to be my waist became a spare tire,

I said I'm past due for a trip to the Beach.

It's time

I know we have more closet poets than this!

Now this is the story all about how

over my hips my jeans will slide right down

And I'd like to take a glance in that mirror right there

And tell you how I lost inches and pounds with great care. (edited)

In 2003 with my eye brows raised

I couldn't believe 212! it came on in a haze

Workin' out, chillin', eatin' chinese food

With fried rice, wontons, gimme more Oriental dude!

When my sis said hey I got this real great book

And I thought well Heck, It wouldn't hurt to look!

I started dropping off pounds and my running time increased

And guess what all the belly fat and cravings FOR REAL did cease.

I whistled and I danced; ricotta creme did I smee-ah

But I'll be a flat board 'cause I still aint got no ree-ah.

My bras fit better and panties do as well

Yes, I danced in the daytime, Ali, do not tell.

My final goal is between 185 and 88

And I'll eat sugar free and with WOO HOO not today maybe late-ah!

Looking and smiling at the scale I can finally say

Holy Sweet goodness SBD and Dr. A!

You guys are so funny, and creative, too!! I'd love to think of something to add... but I'm so bad at poems! LOL.
