Hi Maggie! I'm a Maggie, too! Welcome to this board. :)
I just came across this question where you posted it on our FAQ thread:
I'd like to ask you about nuts - I seem to enjoy them as a dessert substitute after a meal (not just for snacks) What do you think? I'm trying not to go over the 15 nut limit but sometimes I do... I'm on Phase 1 again (Thanksgiving :-( )Also, how are those sweeteners: Splenda, Whey low? or should I just skip that idea? Thanks sooo much for listening!!

Lots of people have said they go over the nut limit and still lose weight. I ate more than my share of nuts on Phase 1, too. I think that as long as your results are still good and you're not going bonkers with them, it's fine! Whatever works for you.
I don't understand your question about sweeteners. Could you explain? Splenda is good, and most other artificial sweeteners are considered just fine for the South Beach Diet.
