What's everyone having for lunch today??

I didn't bring anything, so it will probably be a grilled chicken salad from McDonald's. I never thought I'd say this, but thank God for McDonald's!!!

Restaurant chicken salad on mixed greens. This place has a limited takeout menu and makes their chicken and tuna salads that are really skimpy on the mayo, using things like sun-dried tomatoes and chopped olives to add flavor. I asked to have the chicken on a salad, rather than test my resistance to their fresh-baked sandwich bread. Used like a smidge of their salad dressing.

Delish!

I'm glad that you asked this question as I was wondering about my lunch for today. We went out to a mexican place and was tired of having fajitas. They had chile rellenos on the menu. They bread them only VERY lightly; I know they are supposed to be fried but these were not at all greasy. They were stuffed with mozzarella cheese and had a homemade tomato/cilantro sauce on them. I ate one pepper, did not eat the rice, but had red beans with tomato/onion/cilantro. Also had 4 or 5 fresh warm corn tortilla chips with 1 T guacomole. So how does this sound? Did I pick an okay menu or should I stick with the fajitas and salads?

HI Susan,

Thanks for the support! I am in phase two, second week and will probably stay on it until after the holidays and we get back from visiting the family. I don't go out that much; it was a work lunch with visitors to our office and I was just in the mood for something different. Today it is back to the program.
