Susan and Mel, thank you for your welcome and loads of info when I first came to the board a few days ago.
My question on carbs is this: When I go to the grocery store, I've been checking for example, the all natural peanut butter which is recommended. Ingredients are nuts and salt, but there is still a very high level of carbs - something in the high 20's I think it was. Same thing for the oat/bran muffins-this should be better for you but not as far as the high gram content of the carbs. What am I not understanding? It is OK to have the high carbs as long as the sugar content is low or zero?
