Fish  Fish  Fish  Fish  Fish  Fish  Fish  Fish  Fish  Fish  Fish  Fish
If your fish is "fishy" smelling or shiny, it's not fresh.  Try not to buy any fish that looks wet & shiny.  If you do find your fish is "fishy" I would call the food store right away and tell them when you bought it from the fish mongur.  Most are only too happy to refund you.

Also be sure to rinse & pat your fish dry before cooking.
It's ok to buy frozen as most are flash frozen right off the boat.

I LOVE SEAFOOD!  My grandfather used to own a fish store, so these tips come from a family of fish mongurs.  *wink*

Thanks Susan for the warning. We have a supermarket up here that when we come close to the fish market the smell is aweful. We NEVER buy our fish from there. We go to Super Stop & Shop that has a great fish market the fish come in early every morning. The only fish that I buy that has a strong smell is COD,its a very delicious fish but I have to burn scented candles to air out the house. Thanks again Maryann
