Plateau?!?!

OK - I have been on SBD since Saturday, Nov. 29th.

At the end of week 1 I was down 6 lbs, yay!

But over the course of the second week, I put one of those back on, and then lost it, then put it back on. It seems I am stuck!

I limited my intake of nuts, wasn't really eating many to begin with. I am eating my snacks and breakfast, and my water intake is high, especially as compared to before this diet.

My start weight was 154, currently at 148, goal of 130-135.

Anyone having a similar experience? And if so, are you going on to Phase 2, or sticking it out in Phase 1 a bit longer? I would like to start easing into phase 2. I really enjoy grapefruit and would like to add that in for breakfast. I think I am going to continue to stay away from breads, even if they are the better for you kind... Any thoughts on this approach?

This is a bit frustrating. The initial weight loss was such a daily motivation.

There's also no chance of fat weight being offset by higher muscle weight, since I haven't started exercising, which I know I really should - am gym shopping at the moment!

Hi!

Same thing happened to me...5 pounds gone by the end of Week 1, zippo Week 2. I was going to stick it out on Phase 1, but then it was Thanksgiving and I really missed fruit so I decided to move on to Phase 2 anyway. I started losing again right away, and my total as of the last weigh in is 18 pounds gone. I know my body adjusts pretty quickly to new routines, so I have to change things often if I want to see continued losses...once I started stalling out in Phase 2, I added more exercise to the mix and jumpstarted the process again. Try to make just one change this coming week and see how it affects you...if you're not ready to change phases yet, add more exercise.

Good luck!
