It always offers me encouragement to hear from people who have been successful with this WOE for a long time. So, I'd love to know who has been on SBD for the longest, or close to it. If you have been doing this for quite a while, please let us know and inspire us!

Thanks!

Hi Holly, I have been on the beach since Aug 3rd. I have lost 9 lbs so far and I have 5 more to go. My doctor put me on the SBD he's on it himself and he believes its healthy WOE.Yes it took me 20 weeks to lose 9 pounds with a lot of plateaus in between. But remember this is me,others have lost 20+ everyone loses at a different rate and I lost inches instead. My clothes that I had a few years ago are now fitting.I tried other diets and never got the results I did being on the beach. Hope that helps Maryann

hey!

I'm Ria. been on the beach since 9/8. I was an active person before the beach, but I am even more active now. I ran my second 1/2 marathon on thanksgiving, and I do pilates and all that jazz.

As of today, I am down 28 lbs. Yes, I weighed today because I missed my weekly on Friday. I am down to 186 now! HOLY MOLY! It's been great! I owe it to my sister who introduced me to the WOE and helped me stay motivated. now, it is like a second skin. I enjoy this WOE.

Keep on keepin' on!

Ria

212/186/185 and might try for 183 if I'm feeling froggy.

Hi!

I'm hope and i've been on the beach since 9/1. I'm doing a modification of phase 1 and 2. I started at 138 (a size 8) and have dropped to 120 (a size 2--i actually bought a small shirt the other day!!) but most of all, i feel better. I just feel healthier and more in control of what i eat and how my body works. I'ts a great woe! I don't even think of it as a diet, i truly think of it as a smarter way to eat. It's fantastic.

The frustrating parts are the plateaus (boo hiss) and losing the glass of wine with dinner. The best part is definitely seeing someone you havent seen in a while who says "wow, you look great, what are you doing?" That, and having folks on this board for support and advice through the whole thing. For certain, without them, it would have been so much harder.

Good luck. and if you're going to do this, come on and hang with us!

Hope

Thanks, everyone! That was helpful! I have been on the Beach since mid-October and have been hanging out on the board since shortly after that. I have been more of an observer than a poster though. I appreciate all of your comments!

Hi!

My husband and I have been on the beach since 9/30. I have lost 15 lbs. and I am at (even sometimes below) my goal weight. My husband has lost about 30 lbs., and still has some more to go.

We both feel great. I prepare breakfast each morning, and send him to work with a great lunch, two snacks and a water bottle that he refills all day. We are now following a modified P2/P3. What this means to us is that when we want to have something like a glass of wine, a dessert at a special dinner, a cookie after baking, we have it. We still closely follow P1 for meals by not really adding back carbs, and when we do, we make good choices.

This seems to work for us as a WOE, and we love it!!

Good luck!

Karen
