40 pounds by June 1st?????

Do those of you who are experienced with this WOE think it is possible and reasonable to set a weight loss goal of 40 pounds between now and June 1st? I have a trip planned and this would be a wonderful goal to accomplish by then. Let me know what you all think.
176/166/126

Yes I think you can do it but it might be a little difficult.
Yeah!
Susan :)
Assuming that 126 is a reasonable goal for your height and frame, and also assuming that you don't have any extenuating conditions, such as hypothyroidism for example, I think that it is very much possible to lose 40, or at least come close, by then.
I hit the beach on August 28, and I've lost 34 pounds. I do have more total weight (83) to lose than you do, so it may have come off a bit faster in the beginning for me than it will for you. But even now that I've slowed down, I'm still losing between a pound and a pound and a half per week on average. If I were exercising, I'm sure I'd have lost and would be losing even faster. I absolutely do not condone not exercising! And I have no illusions that I'm doing everything I can do be healthy. But eating right and not exercising is a heck of a lot better than not eating right and not exercising. Anyway, I only mention it because it is my truth, and that my weight loss does speak to the strength of this WOE.
FYI, I lost 9 pounds in two weeks of phase 1. The rest in phase 2, which I follow strictly as a daily routine, but with occasional indulgences. For example, I ate whatever I wanted for Thanksgiving, and since I've been doing SB, I've eaten at least 6 indulgence meals out in restaurants. But 80% of the time when I eat out, I stick to the plan. I waited a full month (2 weeks P1, 2 weeks P2) before I indulged in anything off-plan, and I would strongly recommend that to anyone who wants to make this a lifelong WOE. Give it a good strict month. After that, when you do go ahead and have something off plan, you most likely won't even be able to eat a whole lot of it. That has been true for me.
The best of luck to you!! I hope you enjoy the Beach as much as I do. And I hope you enjoy that vacation, no matter what size/weight you are. :-)

Check out my message to the original poster. My gut feeling is that it might be a bit ambitious even assuming that your weight loss goals are realistic for your current weight, along with your height and frame size. It's a bit more weight per time period than the original poster who wants to lose 40 by June, 6.5 months away. November 1st is 10.5 months away. I really don't want to bust any bubbles. Who knows? Maybe it will happen. I would just hate for you to disappointed if you didn't reach that goal only because it was unrealistic. However I do think that you could lose the majority of your goal by then. Think how great you will feel if next holiday season you are 55 or 60 pounds down from where you are now!! Then by the following spring, when it's time to shop for those new cute outfits and swimsuits, you could very well be near or at your goal.
Do enjoy the process, and welcome, welcome to Teri, too!! This is a great board.
Good luck!!

I started then found this board and saw all the things I was doing wrong then corrected them and started again. I finally bought a scale and 2.5lbs gone in 3-4 days! I'm excited and I'm gonna keep going.
This board is great to get tips, recipes, and support!
Keep everyone posted as I will too.
Good Luck!
