Since i don't seem to be having too much luck with this diet, although i haven't cheated at all...i thought i'd re-evaluate my habits to figure out what the hell is going on. it's been almost three weeks now, and nothing has changed. now granted i was a pretty healthy eater to begin with, and i really only have about 15-20 lbs to lose, but i was expected something new by now.

so, here's my question...i've only been exercising about 4 times in three weeks, how many of you have been exercising, and how much are you going? if you're not exercising, are you still losing weight/inches???

thanks for the help!

I don't exercise per say, I walk my dogs at night when it's not too cold and am running with my kids taking them to the mall or whatever so I get SOME exercise.

With that said I have been doing well on the diet and haven't cheated until last night.

I exercise 6 days a week as follows:

Mon: Weights Chest & Triceps, light weight/high rep

30 to 40 minute cardio (either stationary bike or treadmill)

Tue: Winsor Pilates 20 minute tape for stomach and legs

45 to 60 minute cardio (typically walk/jog @ track)

Wed: Weights Back & Biceps, light weight/high rep

30 to 40 minute cardio (either stationary bike or treadmill)

Thu: Winsor Pilates 15 minute tape for stomach

45 to 60 minute cardio (typically walk/jog @ track)

Fri: Weights Shnoulders & Triceps, light weight/high rep

30 to 40 minute cardio (either stationary bike or treadmill)

Sat: 45 to 60 minute cardio (typically walk/jog @ track)

I think that exercise will definitely make a difference. Not only that, but your heart is a muscle, too, and needs to be exercised as well. Let me know if you have any questions.

Have you posted a typical menu for us to see?? That would be most helpful I think in determining why you aren't losing weight.

I am on second week of phase 1 and have lost 10lbs. And like you my goal is 15lbs. I've exercised when I've had a chance. If anything I've done yoga/pilates. I was exercising more before I started. But I have changed my eating habits so that could be the factor in losing.

Do you eat breakfast? If so how much and what? I try to fill myself in the morning. I'm usually really hungry anyways. I have an omelet or scrambled eggs with all the omelet ingredients. Depends on how much time I have. I put it all in a bowl and cook it. Or have hard boiled eggs. I like the ricotta creme too. Have you tried the almond one...it's good!

Best of luck to you!

Yep, I agree with Jenn, I don't see any breakfast in there, you need to add that.

I'm thinking the same thing. You may not be eating enough. I know for me eating a good breakfast is key. Also...you may already be at your body's ideal weight in which case more exercise will help.

I'm actually not feeling hungry - i swear. if i'm hungry then i would be eating more. like for instance...today for lunch i got a small salad and soup. i ate the salad first, and then wasn't really hungry for the soup, but i had some of it - maybe a 1/4 of it. that was at 1pm - it's now almost 5 and still not hungry.

but if you guys think i should be forcing myself to eat even if i'm not hungry...then i can try eating a little more. and i promise you - i'm not at my ideal weight - i'm only 5 foot 2, and 141 lbs. about 10 - 20 lbs overweight.

thanks again!

Yup sounds to me like you aren't eating enough... and sometimes when that happens you DO lose your appetite.

Susan :)
