OK.... I've been soooo good with not eating ANY of the "goodies" in the baskets the we have been getting from the companies we work with but today I just had to give in :o( I know it was bad but I did pick the chocolate with the peanut butter in it...hehe. That's all I had..... had to do it because this wasn't the typical processed basket... these things were all home made.

Anyways, I was thinking that I'll go home and do a few extra pushups and situps and extra walking to burn it off.... you think that would work or is that just a bad way of thinking?

Thank you.

I know what you are going through !!! I have done well with the office treats clients bring in - nuts (had a few), deli tray (ate meat, 1 slice of cheese and 1 roll- oops), muffins (brought home 2 - 1 for DH and 1 for DS - i had NONE), then yesterday someone stopped at Krispy Kreme 1 block away and brought in fresh, warm doughnuts !!!!! I did not cave in, but I made the other tech remove them from the lab so I wouldn't have to smell them or I would have eaten 1. But I know this one client always bakes this awesome bundt cake with sugared pecans - mmmmmmmmm, I won't be able to pass up the nuts.

I think that's a very honest, responsible approach. You see something you want. Weigh the benefit (taste) and the cons (calories, fat, etc.) and find a good balance. Limit yourself and promise extra exercise to work it off. Enjoy it and keep your promise to yourself, and most importantly don't beat yourself up!

Happy Holidays!

I must confess I got into a holiday basket today too, but I did not show nearly as much restraint as peacelilly. :(

I ate those little petit fours cakes. I can't resist them. They're so pretty and yummy. And I has a lot more than just one!!

I guess I will start over from this moment.
