Say, Let's commit to Phase 1 on Jan 2nd!

I was doing pretty good until I saw a chocolate cupcake being given out by a vendor. At least it was already cut in half. But I just can't resist and don't even want to resist everything at this time of year.
But I can see making a clean start over the day after New Year's Day. By then I will be rid of my fruit and rid of any chocolate candies, and rid of any alcohol I purchased to celebrate the holidays.
The world will be ready to think about dieting too.
So here is my written commitment to start over Jan 2, 2004.

I was at my mother's and the best thing I could come up with for breakfast is very crisp bacon and eggs. But at least I got no sugar and no starch. I will be going very low saturated fats as soon as I can get to the grocery store and stock up on lean chicken, fish and substitute eggs. And lots of fresh veggies.

Good for you, Irene! Sounds like you did well for breakfast this morning. Good luck before and after you go to the store.
My mom is visiting me for a few days. The first thing we had to do was go to the store (I ate up almost everything before leaving for my sister's for a few days). She is not on the Beach, but does eat healthy--lots of veggies, cheese and lean meats--as it is. We did buy some extra sour sourdough bread, since we are the only two in the family who enjoy it, anyway. We plan to make Beach healthy bean and beef stew for Sunday. She showed me the WW bread she has been buying (this is the mom who has never eaten whole wheat bread in her life). Well, it is not allergy safe for one allergic to corn, but it is truly whole
