I have been on SBD since November 1 and lost 15 pounds. I blew it this past weekend baking Christmas cookies. I swear those things were calling my name!!! So, if have kind of given myself amnesty for the rest of this week and starting again on P1 on December 27th. I'm not big on New Year's parties or drinking, so I figure if I get past Christmas, I should be fine.
Good luck to you!!!...and me!!!!!

Welcome home Kate!!!
I assure you that you won't be the only one starting Jan 1st!

I had one piece of chocolate and lost control completely. Got depressing news from doctor and figured what the heck.
I learned one very important thing. Sugar and chocolate make me crazy. I need to avoid that stuff like an alcoholic needs to avoid alcohol.
I knew I had it bad when I'd be halfway through a chocolate covered doughnut and start thinking about where the next sweet thing was going to come from. I knew that the one doughnut was not going to be enough. What I have learned is, there is never, repeat, NEVER enough. One piece truly leads to another.
What I have not finished off by Jan 2nd is going in the trash. Including fruit.
I'm sick of food already. It is not making me happy to be stuffing my face. I'd rather be happy in a size 10 pair of pants.
I hope others will consider starting the new year with Phase One again. Especially if they have any sugar or starch cravings.

I was baking cookies on Saturday and Sunday and was doing really well until around 3:00 Saturday. Told myself I would allow myself just one cookie. Yeah, right!!!! Famous last words. One led to two which lead to eight. Heavens!!!!
Still haven't gotten myself back on track, but hope to after Christmas. Whatever isn't gone by then will be brought into work for my co-workers to enjoy.
Here's wishing you luck after the holidays!
Hugs,
Cyndie
I haven't gained back much weight though. I think that if you follow the diet for the most part, the detours don't have such a great effect.
Anyway, enjoy the holidays and I'll see everybody back on the beach after all the hoopla is over!

Yes I agree!
Just stay on the beach when you aren't "celebrating."
