Well, yetsreday, i allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted. I did have a ton of sweets (chocolates mostly), and one scoop of mashed potatoes with my ham at dinner. ( I really missed potatoes!!) But no rice, bread or pasta. I also haveen't hit the gym in one week due to teh holidays, but I am trying to get there today! I had just finished phase one before theh holidays, and I started phase two for about three days before the holidays. ( I lost about eight lbs on pahse 1). I think I will restart phase one after Jan 1st. I guess I'm kinda on phase two/three right now. It was just so hard with Christmas and all!!!!

(SIGH)I am still trying to lose that stubborn baby weight!!!! about 23 lbs to go and counting... I hope I didn't do too much damage!!

Kris,

They got me too :-) The important thing is, we're back here now and starting fresh again. I won't even go into what I ate the last three days, I was home visiting and just ate whatever I wanted (and I wanted it all!) But now I'm back in the real world, and ready to hit the Beach again. Care to join me?

Hey Gals,

Me too. I started cheating last Saturday while I was baking cookies and all this week has been bad, bad, bad. I went back on P1 yesterday and got on the scale first thing in the morning for the first time in a week. Gained 5 pounds back in 1 bloody week!!! Grrrrr. Took me 6 weeks to lose 15 and 1 week to gain 5!!!! But, the good news is that one day on P1 and I lost 2 pounds!!! Yay!!!! I had slacked off on drinking water, so I drank my 64 oz yesterday, which meant running to the bathroom every 30 minutes!!! So, even though that may be most of the 2 pounds, I was still psyched this morning. Still a bit angry at myself, though, because now I am fighting those carb cravings all over again. Still too many goodies in the house, but I will encourage the kids to eat them or throw them out soon!!! Plus, next Sunday I go on to 2 week business trip, so it will be another bout of trying to make good choices while eating out every night!

Good luck to everyone re-starting after these holidays!!!

Hugs to all,

Cyndie

You're doing great! It could very well be water weight.

I don't consider the holiday "getting me" at all. I'll eat what I want here and there, and eat SBD here and there, but I know I'm on vacation. Everything still fits, and I'm going well. After a big race and, I would do a week of "shocking the system" where you eat what you liked within reason. I consider this shocking the system... or maybe I'm just dellusional ;)

Thanks, Ria! As of this morning, I am thinking, too, that the week of cheating and then back to P1 "shocked" my system. I am down another pound a half this morning! Totally cool. I may plan a little splurge every 8 weeks or so...or wait until I stall and then try that again...not as bad as Christmas week, though, since I am back to detoxing my system again.

On another note, I saw the SF chocolates Hershey has with the PB Cups and Special Dark...but holy smokes!...are they expensive!!! Geez, the price was enough to deter my chocolate cravings more than anything else has! Hahaha.

Hope you had a wonderful holiday!!

Hugs,

Cyndie

Hi All!

You are not being delusional about 'shocking the system'. Your body is an amzing machine that adapts really fast and becomes more effecient at what it's doing. That's why it's important to change your exercise frequently and also to change your food occasionally. There are body builders who actually splurge at least one meal a week (anything goes from pizza to chocolate) and most actually do it one DAY a week.

So try not to beat yourselves up, just get back on today and remind yourself that your metabolism is probably kicked up a notch as a result of your little splurge. ;-)

The whole "shocking your system" conversation gave me hope today!!! I also indulged a *bit* more than I would have liked, with the excuse that it's only once a year. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one!!! Anyway, I'm feeling it today, and have decided to go back to Phase 1. Hopefully this will be just the "shock" my body needed to drop these 5 pounds I can't seem to lose!!!!

I was so horrible for about 4 days but now day two back on track (I'm a cross between phase 2 and phase 3) including resuming my gym trips for weights and cardio. That has helped SO much-continuing to work out through the winter months and holidays especially.
