I got a pedometer yesterday that is specifically geared towards the 10,000 steps a day challenge. It is made by Sportline, and is the model Electronic Pedometer 330. It is small and clear and cost about $20. I thought it would be small enough that I could clip this to my pants or jeans under my sweaters and it would not be very obvious to people I was wearing this, since I would like to wear it all day to see how many steps I do in one day, aiming for the 10,000 a day. But...the thing is loud!!! Something inside it rattles around every time I take a step. Is it supposed to do this???? I can't imagine wearning this at work, everyone will look at me like I'm nuts!!! Did I get a defective one or do they all do this? Sorry if this sounds dumb, but I've never worn a pedometer before!
Thanks for the help!

Nope they do make that noise but NO ONE has ever noticed it when around me!

I agree- mine makes a clinking noise but no one ever heard it at the office- blends in with all the other noise. I also wrapped a plastic paperclip onto the side of mine and used a safety pin to attach it to my clothes- didn't want it to fall off.
